레벨 시스템이란 스틱의 레벨, 즉 높이를 조절함으로써 연주의 강약을 조절하는 방법을 말합니다.

액센트를 주는 박자와 그렇지 않은 박자 사이의 즉시 전환이 가능한 레벨 시스템은 풀 스트로크, 다운 스트로크, 업 스트로크, 탭 등을 활용해서 실제 연주하는 박자보다 한 템포 미리 준비한다는 점에서 다른 대부분의 방식들과 구별됩니다.
레벨 시스템을 사용하면 무리 없이 극단적인 다이내믹 범위를 오갈 수 있습니다.
이러한 레벨 시스템은 이미 드럼 연주에 경험이 많지만 더 자연스러운 테크닉을 구사하기 원하는 드러머들에게 많은 도움이 됩니다.
